Hans Jansen, or Hans Hansen, van Nordstrand, in Holstein, came to New Netherland in 1639. We do not know, who was his wife. He married early, as he had a child. Rommelje, who was baptized on December 3, 1641, in New Amsterdam. The sponsors at this baptism were Laurens Pieters, a Norwegian, Janneke Melyn and Styntie Jans.
On November 29, 1652, he married Janneke Gerrits van Loon op’t Sandt.
