| Johan Jansen Slot came over with his father, Jan Pietersen Slot and his brother Pieter Jansen Slot, in 1650. His father was from Holstein, who before coming to New Netherland resided a while in Amsterdam, where his two sons were born.
On April 20. 1672, Johan married, in New Amsterdam, Judith Elswarts. He made his residence in New Amsterdam. Some of his children removed to Hackensack. On November 10, 1676, he was assessed in the city of New York 12s.
