Son of Andreas Brandstätter, from Meierndorf, Bavaria (Dr. Krebs States that this is according to a communieation from Professor Biundo; the church register, from which a paper seems to have been lost, gives Aachen, countship of Ansbach). Married at Thaleischweiler, 7.XL1741, Maria Magdalena, daughter of Conrad Schaar, from Froeschen. Have left for the New Country 1749, Ist May. Issue (born at Oberfröschen): (1) Anna Barbara, b. 19.XII.1744; (2) Andreas, b. 15.VI1I.1747. Andrew Branstater was living in Dauphin Co., Pa., 1790 (First Census, p. 93).
