---------------------------------------
APFFEL, Christian. Baptized at Freckenfeld, 28.X.1722. Son of Hanns Erhard and Anna Maria Apffel. Married at Freckenfeld, 10.V.
I 753, Anna Appolonia Riedweil. Cop. 1753 10 May: left for the new country 12th ehusd. d. a. (d.a. = of the same year). Christian Appel arrived on the ship King of Prussia, 3 Oct. 1764. He may not have been the same man as Christian Apffel, of Freckenfeld. If he were the same, he must have gone back to Germany and then returned to Pennsylvania in 1764. Christian Apple was living in Philadelphia Co. in 1774 (PA-3, XIV, 404), and in Lancaster Borough, 1790 (First Census, p. 136). There is no proof, that the editor has seen, that these men may be identified with Christian Apffel of Freckenfeld. Link |
