BOCKRIC'KERT, Israel. A smith. Son of Hanss Leonhardt Bock- rickert, weaver, of Pfaffenhofen, Duchy of Württemberg. Married at Thaleischweiler, 9.11.1745, Anna Margaretha, daughter of Andreas Dauenhauer, of Thaleischweiler. Has left for Pennsylvania with wife and two children, 1765 Ith May. Issue (born at Thaleischweiler) : (1) Anna Maria, b. 10. V.1748; (2) Israel, b. 18.XI.1761 (13 years after his sister). Israel Bockreiter arrived on the ship Chance, 9 Sept. 1765 (S-H I, 705). He lived in Lancaster Borough (PA-3, XVII, 603, and First Census, p. 136). Israel Bucksritter, of Lancaster Borough, made his will, 14 May 1792 (proved 14 Nov. 1792) : he named his daughter, Anna, wife of Jacob Stofft, and his grandchildren, George Rhode and Jacob, Elizabeth and Catharine Gross (their parents were not named) (GSP Lancaster, II. 85-86).
