KIEFFER, Heinrich, Tailor. Son of Johannes Kieffer, of Herschberg. Married at Thaleischweiler, 2.VIII.1737, Maria Catharina, daughter of Bartholomäus and Anna Maria Jesrang (q.v.). Have left for Pennsylvania with the parents. Issue: Catharina Elisabetha, b. at Thaleischweiler, 18.IX. 1738. Bartholome Jesran and Henrick Kifer arrived on the ship Loyall Judith, 3 Sept. 1739 (S-H I, 265, 269, 272). Henry Kiefer (Keefer, etc.) was mentioned frequently in York Co. tax lists (see the Index to PA-3 for references).
